No tsunami after 4.9 quake

THE Solomon Islands Meteorological Service yesterday issued a no tsunami threat statement after a magnitude 4.9 earthquake in Makira Ulawa Province. The statement was issued at 6am after the 5.20am earthquake. It was located 35km south-southwest of Kirakira on Makira island.
